A House in Donegal

Our proposal for a new house overlooking Mullaghderg Beach in Co Donegal has been submitted for planning.

The project has grown through a close working relationship with the client and a lot of research into the local area. The pink granite that we saw on our first site visit 3 years ago has remained the core influence for the new building.

The low profile structure rooted into the landscape using granite excavated from the site was a response to the wild, exposed nature of the site and a specific planning requirement which stated that the building could only be a single storey.
