Vogelstrand House
Vogelstrand House - Namibia
The Vogelstrand House was designed for a virgin site on the Skeleton Coast in Namibia that dramatically overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. We took advantage of the sloping topography, creating a series of terraces that negotiate the site and define the house and garden. The project integrates modern technology with traditional vernacular construction techniques such as veldt grass thatch and eucalyptus timber pole framing resulting in a new vernacular.
