Our practice is characterised by an honesty in materials. We wanted to explore our relationship with craftspeople and materiality so for the past two years we’ve been documenting our build processes — the textures, places and skills behind it all.
We worked with director and photographer Nick Ballon to capture the stories and relationships between man and material. This side of our naturally collaborative practice that is not often shown. The film and subsequent book to be published later this year are a testament to the craft, sensitivity and love that remain at the core to all projects we make and all the people we make them with.
