Sartfell House

RIBA Award winning Sartfell House is located in the UNESCO World Biosphere on the Isle of Man; a project that was initiated at Grand Designs Live, Excel Centre, London. It's not just a home, but a vision we created with our clients—a retired scientist and teacher—with a strong respect for the island’s natural environment. The project blends contemporary architecture with landscape restoration and is part of a larger plan that includes the design and build of a Visitors’ Centre focused on biodiversity education. Sartfell House was also shortlisted for ‘House of The Year’

Atlantic Coastal House

We met our clients at the Grand Designs Live Show, where they asked us to transform their bungalow into a home that would blend with the Irish coastline. Inspired by local architecture, we used a traditional gable form to frame stunning sea views and connect the interior to the outdoors.
We incorporated local granite walls and slate roofing, with discreet solar panels to maintain aesthetics. Focused on sustainability, the home uses passive solar design, high-performance insulation, and energy-efficient systems to achieve near Net Zero Energy.

The retreat blends private living with guest accommodation, arranged under a monkey-proof roof with stunning views of the river and forest.
